Jen has helped me get stronger, make healthy choices with foods and figure out portions and how much to eat. She taught me to listen to my body when I eat and she even helped me deal with tricky friendships teaching me about toxic and positive friends. A year ago I went for my annual checkup and was told that I had high cholesterol. My doctor suggested medication, but I did not want to go that route. Instead, I contact Jen and she helped me change my diet and come up with an exercise plan. I just had my check up a year later and my cholesterol is back to normal! No meds, just support and guidance with minor lifestyle changes.
Less than a year after I was diagnosed with Lupus and Sjorgren’s disease, I had finally reached a point in my recovery when I knew I had to take charge of my health to help heal my body. I had done enough research to know that diet effects every aspect of your body, but I needed someone knowledgable to guide me along the way. From my very first meeting with Jen, she gently led me through the daunting task of weeding through the food sensitivity, recipes, substitutions, weekly meal planning and planning for snack/ craving attacks.
